Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey guys, gobble, gobble!

H A P P Y T H A N K S G I V I N G, and all of that, but I am of the opinion that

'Thanksgiving' should be EVERYDAY!

Consider these words:

If you woke up this morningwith more health than illness,
you are more blessed than the million who won't survive the week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 20 million people around the world.

If you attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are more blessed than almost three billion people in the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank,in your wallet, and spare change in a dish some place, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If your parents are still married and alive, you are very rare, especially in the United States. If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.

If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder, you are blessed because you can offer God's healing touch.

If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read anything at all.

You are so blessed in ways you may never even know.

Wow! I am not sure who penned those words, but it certainly gives us something to think about....and reasons to be thankful if you weren't.

Look at what the Word says on the subject:

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

Psalm 69:30 I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving

Psalm 95:2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

Psalm 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name

2 Corinthians 9:11 You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God

2 Corinthians 4:15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.

Ephesians 5:4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.

Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

1 Timothy 4:4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

Jonah 2:9 But I, with a song of thanksgiving, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. Salvation comes from the LORD."

Ezra 3:11 With praise and thanksgiving they sang to the LORD : "He is good; his love to Israel endures forever." And all the people gave a great shout of praise to the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

1 Thessalonians 1:2 [ Thanksgiving for the Thessalonians' Faith ] We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers.

Colossians 1:3 [ Thanksgiving and Prayer ] We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you,

Wow. I can't add anything else to the Word of God, can I? Be blessed, and be thankful EVERYDAY! \o/
