O Death Where is Your Sting?

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38, 39

Halleluyah! Halleluyah! Halleluyah! NOTHING can separate us from the love of God! Isn't that wonderful beyond words?! Isn't that a promise worth dying for?

"Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory." Romans 8:17

I thank and praise God daily for His Word that sustains me...if it were not for God and His continuous love, mercy and grace, I don't know where I'd be. The Word lifts me up, buoys me, carries me, feeds me. strengthens me, teaches me and encourages me....it is LIFE to me! David expressed it perfectly:

"O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me." Psalms 63:1-8

Between mid December and now (mid January, I have known nine people who have left this earth and their spirits have moved on. I find comfort in knowing that all of these people actively proclaimed their faith, with the exception of two. Even though these two people never explicitly said anything about their profession of faith to me, I know that these two had accepted Christ as their Savior at one time in their lives.

"But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you." Romans 8: 10, 11

It makes one think....what happens if you reject Christ daily, incorrectly assuming that you have many more years to live? What happens when your time runs out? What goes through your mind when you find yourself looking at your dead and empty earth bodysuit and now your spirit and soul now need new permanent homes? We know that your spirit returns to God...but where will your soul go?

I certainly don't want to be in that predicament, and I do not want to be a 'death bed Christian' either! You know, one who suddenly sees he is not going to live much longer in his earthsuit, and decides to finally give a death bed confession out of fear. Eeking into Heaven by the skin of my teeth...no, no that won't be me! How about you?

I find too much joy in serving Him an a daily basis! The glory of the Lord is much too wonderful to ignore while I am here. Heaven is simply unimaginable.

"However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him." I Corinthians 2:9

Why miss out? God has prepared a wonderful place for His children. Why miss out on learning about the riches of our Father's love while here on earth, by remaining a babe in Christ? Please don't miss out. If you are 'saved', learn about your Heavenly Father, through the Word. If you are not 'saved' you can accept Christ today. If you'd like to accept Christ into your heart and life today, just recite this prayer below:

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.

You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if I confess with my mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, I will be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. I thank you right now for your salvation. I thank you for your Holy Spirit.

Thank you God for the ultimate sacrifice of your Son Jesus, for the forgivness of my sins and giving me eternal life. Thank you Jesus for your unlimited love, mercy and grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore, Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to You alone and not to myself. Amen.

If you have confessed this prayer, please tell 3 other people today as your public witness and confession of Christ. Don't worry if you did not feel something. Salvation is not based on feelings, but upon your faith in God and His word, and facts of his Word contained in the bible.

Please seek out a church where you can start learning about this wonderful God we serve. Get a bible, and read, read, read learning about your loving Father. Be blessed! \o/
