I Can't Live Without You

The lyrics to the song "I Can't Live Without You" have really blessed me. I found myself humming and singing this song most of the day while I was at work today.

It is almost as if Darwin Hobbs could read my heart and penned these lyrics to the Lord just for me! I looked high and low on the internet for these lyricsso I could share them with you, but I could not find them, so here they are typed by my little fingers just for you!

"I Can't Live Without You"
by Darwin Hobbs, Cedric Caldwell, Victor Caldwell, Angie Winans

You are the true and radiant King
Your love for me inspires me to sing
Songs of thanksgiving and praise I am bringing
To you true and loving Lord

I lift my hands in worship to You
With holiness in spirit and truth
The angels cry holy and reverence You only
My God, my King, my Lord.

Hey, I know You are the reason
You really are the reason
You're the reason I live and move
The reason I have my being

Hey, I know You are the reason
You really are, You really are
You're the reason I can go on
The reason I wrote this song

I cannot live without You, Lord
I cannot live without You, Lord
Only by Your grace
Can I face every day
I cannot live without You, without You, Lord

I can't live without You
Just can't live without You
I can't live without You
Never wanna live without You

I can't live without You
I can't move without You
I can't breathe without You
I can't live without You
===================

This song speaks of complete and utter dependence on God for life itself. Surrendering to His love, His will for your life; recognizing and honoring His Holiness in every aspect. Accepting His magnificent grace, worshipping Him with a bowed heart full of praise. Halleluyah! \0/

This is The Day

This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it! Psalm 118:24

In this day looking around us, is it always easy to rejoice? We see the wars, the killings, the bombings and all types of mayhem brought to our homes via our televisions sets or our internet service each day. How can we see this and say that God is in it? Hmmm....may we be reminded of these verses:

"Who can speak and have it happen if the Lord has not decreed it? Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that both calamities and good things come?" Lamentations 3:37-39

Uh, oh! I know I am in the doghouse with some of you now by quoting that verse! Help me, Lord! So then, what about these verses?

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17

"In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will" Ephesians 1:11
"In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps." Proverbs 16:9

Is the Word not true? Of course it is. So are the people involved in the war, walking with predestined steps? Are their steps determined by the Lord? Or do these scriptures only pertain to believers? Are you confused? Even if you aren't, I am. But even though I don't understand, at all, I will still "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" Philippians 4:4

God said, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8,9

Everywhere I Go, I See You !

As Rich Mulllins penned, "Everywhere I Go, I See You!" (referring to God, of course!) You'd think after seeing God in motion day after day that I'd cease to be amazed by now. Nope, au contrair! God moves around me everyday, and it is just so humbling to be privvy to witness His majesty in action.

Anyway to catch you all up to speed on me: I just finished my grueling summer semester of 2 classes! Yaaay! I now have a breather between now and my fall semester start date.

I sincerely thank you all for emailing me and calling me during my hiatus from the blog. I did not plan it that way, but something had to give...as I was truly pressed for time! But all was not lost! God sent each and every one of you sharing His love, and encouragement with me...and hopefully me with you.

Have you ever been speechless? That's how I feel...just absolutely bowed over.... spilling over with praise.

"I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever." Psalm 86:12

Hey, how y'all doin' ?!

Hey! Guess what everybody?! I AM still out here, alive, kicking, doing well, and BLESSED! I have been way too busy for my own good, but that is going to change soon.

I'd like to share a picture I took with you. I went to the Maryland Metro Festival where Frankin Graham was the speaker. His dad Billy Graham was supposed to speak on Sunday night as his last crusade speech. The festival was held at the Orioles Baseball Park, at Camden Yards. Kinda hate to admit this, but I only went to worship with the featured singers....one in particular! On Saturday night, the featured singers were:

FFH

Paul Overstreet

Joy Williams

Israel Houghton

Out of all of the places I could have chosen to sit in the stadium, I was sitting right where Mr. Houghton passed by with wife Meleasa on their way to the stage. Israel says, "Hey, y'all!"

Here is one of the pictures that I took of Israel Houghton and his lovely wife Meleasa.
