FATHER KNOWS BEST!

Some of you may remember the radio show (starring Robert Young of later Marcus Welby, MD fame), that came on during the late 40's, and then the television show, that came on the 50's and ran into reruns into the early 60's. I for one, am too young to remember either rendition of this show! ;-)

I just wanted to use the title of that popular show for my thought here...."Father Knows Best." I am not speaking of our earthly fathers but of our heavenly Father, Yahweh. Only our Heavenly Father knows what is best for us in all situations at all times. Only God is capable of knowing the number of hairs on your head, or the number of days that you will draw breath while on earth. Only our Heavenly Father saw us in the secret place, and created our inmost being, knitting us together in our mother's womb.

Only our Heavenly Father could think ahead and make provision for our future salvation the way He did, to make room for us with Him in eternity. They say that hindsight is 20/20, but is not true in the case of God, but only for us humans. How many times have you lamented going through a certain situation or exercise in frustration, only to find out (much later) that it was necessary and mandatory preparation for your next stage of development, whether emotionally, mentally, physically or spiritually?

I just went through a long arduous ordeal where I had nothing but faith in God to stand on....but I was prepared for this exercise of faith, by the bible reading, prayer and devotion time I had invested long before this situation manifested itself. The Holy Spirit was able to sustain me, and
continuously filled my mind and heart with His promises, His Word, and with my own previous testimonies in my life of how He came through for me.

God really surprised me! He blessed me far beyond what I dreamed of for myself this point in time in my life, and for that I am so thankful. Just mention God, and I am ready to testify! Father truly knows best.

"Seek ye first the kingdom of righteousness, and all these other things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Y ou will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:11-13

Everything we go through is making us ready for the next stage of our development. All of us need to learn to see God in everything, and then, maybe we wouldn't flip out so much when adversity strikes. Easier said than done, and I think a life long process of learning this. Paul said, " I have LEARNED to be content....." I always wonder how long that process took.
"Life is good news and it's bad, you can laugh or just get mad, it's still the same." Bryan Duncan That is one of my favorite quotes because circumstances are always changing, but we have a choice in our reaction to whatever the circumstance is. My two cents.
Loved your title.
Love ya!
